Tell-tale signs

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

(Redirected from Tell-Tale Signs)

You suspect your neighbor is a werewolf. How do you prove it? Which one of us is an alien? How can we tell?

Tell-Tale Signs are a common plot element in Sci Fi works. Typically, a group of somethings is in disguise as ordinary humans. One or more people know an element about the non-humans they can not disguise, something that can be used to identify the hidden threat.

The issue is complicated sometimes when some of the villians find someway to hide this give-away (plastic surgery, for example).

Werewolves

  • Hairy palms, a pentagram in the palm

Vampires

  • No reflection in a mirror, cannot be photographed (nothing shows on the developed film)

Aliens in The Invaders

  • Little fingers that don't bend, no pulse
