Theodore "Ted" Sprague is a fictional character on the TV Series Heroes played by Matthew John Armstrong.

when the highly irradiated dead body of Dr. Fresco with Sprague's fingerprint burned into the bone is discovered, Ted is mistaken, by Agent Audrey Hanson for the serial killer Sylar. Audrey and Matt Parkman's investigations lead them to Sprague in the hospital with his terminally ill wife. Ted reveals he accidentally killed Dr. Fresco when they argued about his wife's treatment.
Ted has the ability to emit radiation and unwittingly made his wife sick. Under interrogation, he reveals that the problem started several weeks before when he went on a business trip selling dialysis machines. He visited the hotel bar, where he met a Haitian student. He woke up two days later in Tempe, Arizona, with two small black marks on his neck. Matt reveals something similar happened to him and he has the same marks.
Before he can be questioned further, the Department of Homeland Security arrives to take him into custody. Ted is being treated as a terrorist. Later, Audrey calls Matt while standing before a burning wreck. She informs him that Sprague has escaped.
Sprague became determined to discover who and what made him the way he is. He was contacted by Hana Gitelman who gave him information that led him to Mr. Bennet. The two tracked down Matt Parkman and Sprague and Matt went to Odessa, Texas to find Mr. Bennet and force him to tell them what has happened to them. They took Bennet's family hostage and following a devastating turn of events that resulted in the destruction of Bennet's home, Ted and Matt were taken into custody by Mr. Bennet's employers.
Ted learned they weren't responsible for making him radioactive, they simply tracked and tagged him. With Bennet's help, both Ted and Matt made their way to New York City with a plan to destroy the device Bennet's employers used to track people like them. While there, they ran into Peter Petrelli and Claire Bennet and moments later Ted was apprehended by the FBI, led by Agent Hanson.
While being transferred to a secure facility, Ted's vehicle was attacked by Sylar. Ted was killed and his power was absorbed by Sylar.
Powers
Ted's powers developed with no awareness on his part. It wasn't until things around him began to die, including his wife, that he realized he was emitting radiation. He eventually learned to control his powers and even discovered new ways to use it. Noah Bennet guided him in the use of his powers to create an EMP pulse that helped them escape the Primatech Paper factory. He has also used his powers to melt ice and provide spark to get an engine running.
