Téa Leoni (February 25, 1966) is an American actress born Elizabeth Téa Pantaleoni in New York City to Anthony Pantaleoni, a lawyer and Emily Patterson, a dietitian. Leoni is of Polish and Italian descent. Her grandmother was an actress born to Polish parents in the U.S. She attended The Putney School and went on to study at Sarah Lawrence College, focusing on Anthropology and Psychology.
Leoni began her screen career appearing on the soap opera, Santa Barbara and the films Switch, A League of their Own, and the starring role in The Counterfeit Contessa. Leoni went on to star in the scifi hits Deep Impact and Jurassic Park III as well as Bad Boys with Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, The Family Man with Nicolas Cage, much acclaimed Spanglish with Adam Sandler and Fun with Dick and Jane opposite Jim Carey.
Leoni married fellow actor David Duchovny on May 6, 1997. The couple have two children, Madelaine West and Kyd Miller.
