Supernatural (2005–) is an original series, created by Eric Kripke for the WB Network. The show is about two brothers named Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki), who are on a search to find their missing father. Twenty-two years earlier, the family suffered a nightmarish event that resulted in the death of the boys' beloved mother. John Winchester, the father, took his two sons with him and began a journey to find answers about what happened that fateful night. Traveling the back roads of America is not exactly the best way for children to grow up, but it was all John could do to keep his family safe from harm. Now grown, Sam and Dean continue their father's search while helping those in need along the way.

DVD

The show completed its second season in May 2007 and was renewed for a third season. The first-season DVD was released on September 5, 2006. The second season was released on DVD on September 11, 2007.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
