Superman Returns is a 2006 film based on the DC Comics character Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Schuster. The film was directed by Bryan Singer, with the screenplay by Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The movie opened in U.S. theaters on June 28, 2006.

Plot

Superman returns to Earth after a long visit to Krypton to view the remains of his home planet. On his return, he discovers Lois Lane engaged to his boss, Richard White, and the mother of a young son. Lex Luthor has managed to climb his way back to wealth and has plans to destroy much of America in the creation of his own island. Superman must save the world once again.
