Stonehenge

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Stonehenge is believed to be a site used for special events and used as an astronomical calendar. No one knows who built Stonehenge but it has been proven it was not the Druids. Archeologists believe Stonehenge was constructed over several thousand years in various stages. The construction dates from 3000 BC and is believed to be 5000 years old.

Currently half of the stones in Stonehenge are missing or destroyed. There is a chain link fence surrounding Stonehenge to keep vandals out.

Archeologists have discovered the remains of an ancient village about a mile away from Stonehenge (2006). They hope to shed new light on Stonehenge and discover its true purpose.
