Steven Barnes

Steven Barnes is an author,screenwriter, lecturer, creative consultant, and human performance technician. He was born March 1, 1952 inn Los Angeles, California. He attended Pepperdine University and majored in Communication Arts. He is married to Tananarive Due and has a daughter, Lauren and a son Jason.

In addition to his talents as a screenwriter, Barnes is a certified hypnotherapist who received his training at the Transformative Arts Institute in San Anselmo, California. He also has a black belt in kenpo karate and Kodokan judo. He is a qualified instructor in Wu Ming Ta and Pilipino Kali Stick and knife fighting.

Barnes has written several episodes of The Outer Limits and Baywatch. He has also written the episode "Brief Candle" for Stargate SG-1 and the Andromeda episode "The Sum of its Parts".
