Sizeable reptilian creature found on the planet Abydos. The Abydonians use it for food and according to Daniel Jackson, it tastes like chicken.

Age of Prata

Jaffa term refferring to an age near puberty, when a Jaffa child must recieve his first symbiote or primtah. If not given one the child will likely die as many Jaff groups are engineered to be dependent on symbiotes.

Alpha Site radio call sign

Annulus

K'Tau term for the Stargate

Ara

stone altar at the center of villages in the Ori galaxy shaped in the form of the Ori symbol. The altar has channels in which fire and oil is poured for the burning of heretics placed in the center.

Archon

Tollan equivalent of an attorney. An archon is assigned to each seeker during Triad with a neutral archon as the final vote.

Arrom

Name given to an amnesiac Daniel Jackson by the nomads of Vis Uban. It means Naked One.

Ascension

Evolutionary process in which the human body is transformed into energy and ascends to a higher plane of existence.

Ashrak

Goa'uld assassin sent by the System Lords to kill their opposition

Astral Diner

Place on the plane of Ascension where Daniel Jackson met with Oma Desala and came across a humanized version of Anubis in "Threads"

ATA gene

Ancient gene which allowed them to operate certain technologies, passed on to some humans.

Atlantis

Ancient city made lost and hidden beneath the ocean of a Pegasus Galaxy planet.

mission led by Dr. Elizabeth Weir to discover the Ancient city

Avalon

subterranean caves hidden beneath Glastonbury Tor in England where Merlin hid Ancient treasures.

Averium

Orbanian ceremony in which an Urrone has their nanites removed for implantation into the rest of the population.

Beta Site

describes the Alpha Site in an alternate reality. Also a secondary off world based established after the Alpha Site was compromised.

Blackbird

Russian submarine that intercepted The Beliskner and became overrun by Replicators.

Blood of Sokar

Hallucinogenic drink given to SG-1 and Martouf by Bynarr while on Ne'tu and used to create false memories in attempt to extract information.

Blue Leader

Call sign for Colonel Cameron Mitchell during the battle against Anubis over Antarctica

Blue Squadron

Radio call sign for Prometheus' F-302 fighter squadron once led by Col. Cameron Mitchell

Bedrosian religious document which states life was created on Bedrosia by

Religious text of The Ori religion, Origin. The book is filled with parables designed to guide one on the path to enlightenment.

Cartouche, Abydos

listing of all Stargate addresses known to the Goa'uld discovered in a hidden room within the great pyramid on the planet.

Caves of Kaleemah

Caves on Abydos where many Abydonians hid to escape Anubis attack. The caves were destroyed in the attack and the people were ascended by Oma Desala

Ceremony Fire

Ceremony ordained by the Goa'uld Moloc in which newborn girls under his rule are burned alive. The presiding priestess, Ishta led a resistance movement to save young girls from the ceremony.

Now ended confederation of Pegasus Galaxy planets ultimately defeated by the Wraith

Goa'uld Queen

<other of all goa'uld symbiotes produced through asexual reproduction. The queen is capable of selecting memories to pass on to her offspring. See: Egeria and Hathor

Interdimensional Insects

creatures from Earth that live in another dimension. Some resemble gastropods and arthropods while some are capable of flight. They have minimal interaction with objects on our dimensional plane and can only be seen through the use of an Ancient device. They are repelled by radiation released by a Sodan cloaking device so that they cannot cross over into our dimension.

I.O.A.

International Oversight Advisory comprised of representatives of nations made aware of the Stargate program. The IOA heads the Atlantis Expedition.

Iratus bug

Pegasus Galaxy insect-like creature that sucks energy from its victims and is believed to be related to the Wraith. The Iratus make their vast nests inside caves. ("Thirty-eight Minutes", "Conversion")

Jomo'sequ

Jaffa term meaning "right of leadership" in which a Jaffa can challenge his leader for command in a battle to the death.

J.R. Reed Space Terminal

ceremonial cake shared and eaten by Argosians signifying the intent to marry. Accepting the cake means an acceptance of the proposal and the completion of the marriage contract.

Mastadge

Large hair-covered four legged beast of burden indigenous to Abydos. The creature vaguely resembles a Buffalo and is used for food, clothing, and transport by the Abydonians.

Matter stream

energy conduit that transmits matter from one set of transporter rings to the other.

Metaverse

quantum physics theory that posits that there an infinite number of realities.

a strong but light-weight metal more than 100 times stronger than steel when refined.

The Trust

rogue NID operatives who use unethical means to acquire alien technology to defend Earth. The Trust was infiltrated by the Goa'uld and their whereabouts are unknown.

Urrone

Orbanian child implanted with nanites and set to gain all the knowledge they can. The nanites are removed in Averium and given to all Orbanians. The child is left without any knowledge. SG-1 taught the Orbanians how to teach their children the old fashioned way.

Ver Ager

village on Celestis once occupied by Harrid and Sallis and other believers of Origin.

Ver Isca

a town in the Ori galaxy to which Vala Mal Doran was transported and lived for several months.

Vorlix

term used by the Vyans to describe an event in which the entire population succumbed to amnesia, forgetting everything about their lives before. The Vorlix was later found to be the result of an experiment by Linea with a substance known as Dargol.

W

Wormhole X-Treme

TV series created by Martin Lloyd after he lost his memory of having met SG-1.

Wraith Culling

Wraith process of capturing humans for feeding

Wraith Enzyme

Enzyme injected into the human body by the Wraith during the feeding process to strengthen the body for feeding. The substance is highly addictive and can result in mental instability and overconfidence.

Wraith stunner

Non-lethal Weapon used by the Wraith to stun their victims with no permanent damage. The weapon causes temporary paralysis that will eventually wear off an allows them to easily overcome humans so they can be later fed on.
