Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is a 2004 scifi adventure film directed by Kerry Conran. The film is set in a stylized 1939 New York and was shot entirely on a soundstage in front of a green screen. The set and props were generated by computer. Gwyneth Paltrow stars as reporter Polly Perkins who gets caught up in an adventure with the Sky Captain, played by Jude Law as they try to save the world from the plans of a mad scientist on a quest for world domination.
