Shared world

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

A shared world in speculative fiction is a system by which stories written by various authors are set in the same time and place. Examples include the Thieves World series of books and short stories as well as the Orion's Arm website short stories.

Novelizations of television series, films and role-playing games also qualify as shared universes when they consist of a series of books written by different authors.
