Seeker is a 2007 film directed by David L. Cunningham. The film went through several titles including, The Dark is Rising, and The Seeker: The Dark is Rising. The film is based on the Susan Cooper novel, The Dark is Rising, the second and most popular in her fantasy series. The film is adapted by John Hodge best known for his work on Trainspotting. The film is the first release from Walden Films in cooperation with 20th Century Fox.

Summary

A young American, Will Stanton (Alexander Ludwig), living in a Northern English village, discovers he's among a group of immortal warriors whose lives are dedicated to the fight against evil. He travels through time, following clues that lead him to an ultimate battle for the fate of the world.
