Scary Movie is a 2000 comedy and the first in a series of horror movie comedic spoofs written and directed by the Wayans brothers. The film pays homage to such popular films as I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Blair Witch Project, The Sixth Sense, and The Matrix. The film spawned four sequels and was the inspiration for Not Another Teen Movie.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
