The Saturn Award (originally known as the Golden Scroll) is an award presented by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy & Horror Films. The Academy was founded in 1972 by Donald A. Reed, and it began by awarding framed certificates to genre filmmakers. Since then, the Academy has expanded to many fields, including video games. The Saturn Award is presented to the best works in the fields of science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
