On the series Stargate Atlantis, Sateda is a Pegasus Galaxy planet once inhabited by a moderately advanced human civilization. The planet's civilization was completely wiped out in a battle against the Wraith. Only a small number, approximately three hundred, managed to escape the planet and are scattered on various planets in the galaxy. Ronon Dex was a member of the Satedan military. He was not, however among those who escaped. Dex was taken by the Wraith and implanted with a tracking device so they could hunt him for sport across many planets. He was freed from that horrible existence by the Atlantis team. After joining the Atlantis expedition, a probe confirmed that his homeworld was uninhabited.
