Sam Newfield

Sam Newfield (aka. Samuel Neufeld, Sherman Scott, or Peter Stewart), (b. December 6, 1899November 10, 1964) American director , the brother of Sigmund Neufeld, head of PRC. In a career spanning forty years, he churned out hundreds of quickies in all genres, especially ‘B’ westerns, many under pseudonyms. His poverty row horrors include Dead Men Walk (1942); The Mad Monster (1942), The Black Raven (1943), The Monster Maker (1944), The Flying Serpent (1945), White Pongo (1945) and Lost Continent (1951).
