Sam J. Jones

Sam Gerald Jones (b. August 12, 1954, Chicago, Illinois) is an American actor and former US Marine best known for his role as Flash Gordon in the 1980 movie of the same name. Jones made his film debut in the Dudley More 1979 comedy, 10. He followed up with action roles in Stunts Unlimited and the series Code Red and Flash Gordon, a critical disappointment that failed to launch him to fame. Jones has appeared in a few genre roles, The Highway Man in 1988, Earth Minus Zero (1996), and guest appearances on Conan the Adventurer and Stargate SG-1 as the memorable bounty hunter, Aris Boch. Jones is better known for his low-budget action roles in Jungle Heat, The Spirit, Maximum Force, Lady Dragon 2, Fist of Honor and Gangland.
