Salma Hayek <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>  Salma Hayek-Jimenez (b. September 2, 1966, Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico) is an Oscar-nominated Mexican actress and producer known for her roles in such films as Frida, Wild Wild West and Traffic. Hayek wowed horror fans with her performance as vampire Santanico Pandemonium in the film From Dusk Till Dawn. She played Serendipity in Kevin Smith's Dogma and Nurse Rosa Harper in The Faculty. Hayek was a soap star in Mexico before transitioning to English-language films. She is also fluent in Spanish, and Portuguese. In 2007, she gave birth to her first child, daughter Valentia Paloma Pinault with fiancee Francois-Henri Pinault.
