Sabine C. Bauer

Sabine C. Bauer is a German-born author well known to Stargate fans as the author of tie-in novels featuring SG-1.
Following high school, Bauer worked as a camera assistant for Bavarian Television before deciding to attend university. She studied English Literature at the University of Munich before transferring to the Shakespeare Institute at Stratford-upon-Avon, in the UK where she earned her MA and a later PhD in Shakespeare Studios.
She worked at The Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol and did several theatre productions. She accepted an offer as a guest lecturer at Berea College in Berea, Kentucky where she taught directing, dramaturgy and literature. A fan of the Stargate SG-1 series, in her spare time she wrote fan fiction. She was contacted by Fandemonium, in search of writers well versed in the Stargate mythology. Fandemonium asked if she was interested in penning a Tie-in novel and she agreed
Her first published Stargate novel was Stargate SG-1: Trial by Fire in 2004. Bauer also wrote Stargate SG-1: Survival of the Fittest, published in June 2006.
