It was previously published under the title SCI FI Entertainment but was re-launched at the end of 2001, re-branded as SCI FI.

Regular columns include "TV in Focus" (a roundup of every SF show during any given onsale period); "TV on TV" (an insider's look at the television industry, written by SCI FI program director Tom Vitale); "The Watch List" (10 random things that you need to know about); "Premiere" (red-carpet photography of the stars, by Al Ortega); and SCI FI Wire (movie and television news—a print version of the online component on SCIFI.com).
