Sarah Jane Adventures

The Time Lord universe continues to expand! Former Doctor Who Companion Sarah Jane Smith headlines a new BBC series, The Sarah Jane Adventures. Its first season has been such a success that its renewal for Season 2 has already been announced.

The show invites a slightly younger crowd with its opening lines, "She saw amazing things out there in space. But there's strangeness to be found wherever you turn. For Sarah Jane Smith and her young friends, life on Earth can be an adventure, too."

An investigative reporter, Sarah Jane was confidently played by Elisabeth Sladen in Seasons 11 through 14 of Doctor Who. She continued to pop up from time to time, most notably in a Sarah Jane Smith series of audio plays produced by Big Finish Productions.

The first season of The Sarah Jane Adventures premieres on the SCI FI Channel with a one-hour episode on April 11 at 8:00 PM. Doctor Who, Season 4 will premiere with the hour-and-a-half Christmas special episode on April 18 at 8:30 PM.
