If you see something where you think a contributor has done a wonderful job, please let us know. Click the Contact box and send the Editor an email. So far, all the shout-outs have been to inhouse workers but as this opens up to the world, the world (individually) will start to deserve some of that lovely and rewarding personal recognition. Don't be shy about telling us what you think is great about SCIFIPEDIA and who made it great enough that you think they should get to bask in the glory of a job well done.
Likewise, if you see something that doesn't work they way it should, please let us know right away. We've done a lot to try to make everything work the way we think it should but every major project I've ever been involved with has hit a couple of bumps in the road so I'm fully expecting that we will, too. The sooner we know, though, the sooner we'll be able to get it fixed, so don't hesitate to let us know when we're hitting one of those bumps. The Contact button should be easily findable at all times. We're happy to get good news, too, of course.
Formatting
If you want to indent a line or a paragraph to set if off from the main text of an article, start the new text with a colon.
: indents a line or a paragraph</nowoki>
gives you
: indents a line or a paragraph
If you want to set off an entire paragraph on both the right and left margin, use blockquotes.
So:
<nowiki><blockquote> - indents both margins of a paragraph particularly when you you’re your text to look like an extract</blockquote>
Gives you:
- indents both margins of a paragraph particularly when you you’re your text to look like an extract
Today's shout-out
Randy M. There are tons of lawyers working here. It's a media company, after all. It's nice to know that many of them are helpful, responsive and open to new ideas while still doing all the right things to protect copyrights and do the right thing for the corporation while accommodating something as un-corporate as a public wiki.
Thought for the day
Be Prepared. It's a motto that has worked for the Boy Scouts for more than a century but it's also just good sense. You never know when that pocket screwdriver will become a vital tool.
