S1M0ne is a 2002 Sci Fi comedy from writer and director Andrew Niccol. Al Pacino starred as difficult director Viktor Taransky. When the stat of his latest film quits, he must find a replacement or risk never working again. Finding a new actress proves complicated as no one wants to work with him. Taransky turns to a computer program to create a computer generated woman to star in his film. He names her Simone based on the program's name, Simulation One. Things become complicated when Simone becomes a bonafide celebrity and he must make up a fictional life for her. When the demands of his deceit become overwhelming he decides to kill the character only to find himself arrested for her murder and forced to try and prove that she never existed.
