Russell Mulcahy

Russell Mulcahy (b. June 23, 1953, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) is a director who has contributed to a number of genre projects beginning with the Australian horror feature Razorback. Mulcahy had his start directing music videos for artists like Elton John and Duran Duran.

Mulcahy directed the first Highlander film in 1986 as well as its sequel Highlander II: The Quickening. Other notable work includes The Shadow, Tales from the Crypt, Perversions of Science, Tale of the Mummy, Resurrection, The Hunger, Jeremiah, Mysterious Island, The Curse of King Tut's Tomb, and Resident Evil: Extinction.

In 2008, Mulcahy directs The Scorpion King: Rise of the Akkadian and has signed on to direct Zen in the Art of Slaying Vampires.
