Roy Webb (October 3, 1888 - December 10, 1982) was a prolific American composer who joined RKO Radio Pictures in 1929 and worked on most of Val Lewton’s films for the studio, including The Cat People (1942), The Ghost Ship (1943), The Seventh Victim (1943), I Walked With a Zombie (1943), The Leopard Man (1943), The Curse of the Cat People (1944), The Body Snatcher (1945) and Bedlam (1946). His other moody scores include Mummy’s Boys (1936), You’ll Find Out (1940), The Stranger on the Third Floor (1940), I Married a Witch (1942), The Spiral Staircase (1945), Zombies on Broadway (1945), Sinbad the Sailor (1946) and Mighty Joe Young (1948).
