Ron Perlman (April 13, 1950 New York City, New York) is an American actor and voice artist.

Known for playing characters whose intimidating exterior belies their good nature, has had an extensive genre career.

He was twice nominated for an Emmy (and won a Golden Globe) for his performance of Vincent on the TV series, Beauty and the Beast.

When he was more than 50, he starred as the bruising hero Hellboy. Throughout his career, he has played a wide-range of iconic characters, from Batman to Conan.
