(Redirected from Roleplaying Games)

A role-playing game (RPG) is a game where the players assume roles as characters within a storyline.

Role playing games can be board games, pen-and-paper dice games such as Dungeons & Dragons, computer games such as World of Warcraft, or live action such as Vampire: The Masquerade gatherings or parties.

The game Dungeons & Dragons is often referred to as the grandfather of the RPG genre. The largest publisher of non-computer role-playing games is Wizards of the Coast.
