Rob Bowman

Rob Bowman (b. May 15, 1960, Wichita Falls, Texas) is an Emmy Award-nominated director known for his work on The X-Files. Bowman began his career directing episodes of 21 Jump Street, and Stingray. He made his genre directorial debut with the TV series Werewolf and also directed episodes of The Highway Man, Probe, Quantum Leap, Alien Nation, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Dark Shadows, M.A.N.T.I.S., and VR.5.

Bowman directed over 30 episodes of The X-Files from 1994 to 2000 and also served as a producer on the series. In 1998, Bowman directed the X-Files movie and in 2000, the pilot episode of the spinoff series The Lone Gunmen. Other notable genre contributions include segments of: Nightmares and Dreamscapes: From the Stories of Stephen King, the short-lived series Day Break and the movies Reign of Fire and Elektra.
