Richard Dysart (March 30, 1929 Boston, Massachusetts - ) is an American actor and voice artist.

Best known to mainstream audiences for his portrayal of Leland McKenzie on L.A. Law, he often plays characters who have positions of authority: doctors, lawyers, and historical men of power (like J. Edgar Hoover, Harry S Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower).

He has appeared in several Sci Fi works, including voicing cartoons (where he has played Cogliostro on the Spawn animated series and Dr. Bartholomew on Batman: The Animated Series, among others). He was a regular on the short-lived invisibiity series, Gemini Man.
