Riccardo Freda (b. February 24, 1909 – December 20, 1999) Egyptian-born Italian director, considered second only to Mario Bava for his contributions to the history of Italian horror. Although Freda made his directing début in 1942, it was only in 1956 that he came up with the idea of reviving the moribund Italian horror genre with The Devil’s Commandment. However, when he walked off the production, it was completed by Bava. Under the pseudonym “Robert Hampton”, Freda went on to make such uneven films as Caltiki the Immortal Monster (1959), The Witch’s Curse (1962), The Terror of Dr. Hichcock (1962), The Ghost (1963) and the gratuitous Murder Obsession (1980).

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
