Renn Porter is Security Director of Vexcor Technologies, Betaverse Division, in the television series Charlie Jade. He is is played by Langley Kirkwood.

Character Bio

Renn Porter is Julius Galt's Head of Security in Betaverse. A graduate of the same security hierarchy as Charlie Jade was as a young man, Porter's political problems with Galt really begin when Galt became a victim of Beta Fever. The fever is a condition plaguing most of the trapped Vexcor executives, unable to resist the intoxicating way of life in Betaverse, a condition Porter's training makes him immune to.

Highly motivated, armed with a wry sense of humor, and ruthless Porter has little time for the people he finds inhabiting Betaverse, and less patience for Vexcor executives like Galt, who he considers weak and his inferior intellectually. As he spends more time near near the boardroom, the more Renn Porter becomes convinced that he should be running the company for Essa Rompkin.
