Regeneration

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Regeneration, also referred to as "a healing factor" or "quick healing", is the ability to rapidly heal yourself when injured.

The difference between characters with regeneration and those with invulnerability is that regenerative characters feel the pain and see the effects of the injury. Usually the effects of the injury quickly fade and the character is recovered, though they may still be susceptible to the emotional trauma.

Characters with regenerative powers can be killed if their bodies are damaged enough. The more they can be damaged and still recover, the stronger their regenerative powers are said to be.

Examples of fictional characters with regenerative powers are Wolverine, Painkiller Jane, and Claire Bennet from the television program Heroes.
