Red Mars is a 1992 Nebula Award-winning novel by Kim Stanley Robinson. The novel is set in 2026 when a group of 100 scientists are selected to become the first colonists of Mars. The story examines the relationships that develop between them as they do a test run in Antarctica before beginning the mission and later begin their journey.
