The Ravager is a fictional sometime super villain and superhero comic book character owned by DC Comics. The Ravager is most often associated with the villain Deathstroke and the superhero team the Teen Titans. There have been three characters called the Ravager, that are important to Teen Titans continuity, before the current Ravager was created.
The “Old” Ravagers
The first Ravager was Grant Wilson, son of Slade Wilson, the mercenary known as Deathstroke the Terminator. Slade wanted to become a mercenary to rival his father. He allows the evil organization H.I.V.E. to scientifically enhance his body, and then takes a contract to kill the New Teen Titans. When Grant dies in the attempt, Deathstroke begins a complex campaign against the Titans.
The second Ravager is Bill Walsh, a rival of Deathstroke’s who is responsible for cutting Slade’s other son Jericho’s throat, causing him to be mute for life. Slade eventually kills this Ravager.
A third Ravager was named Wade DeFarge, a hit man who attempts to expand his reputation and mock Slade by using the name. He is eventually killed by Slade's younger illegitimate daughter, Rose Wilson.
The “New” Ravager
Slade (Deathstroke) hypnotizes and manipulated his illegitimate daughter Rose Wilson into taking on the Ravager identity and becoming his apprentice. Slade injects her with the same serum that gave him his enhanced abilities. The serum works, but also gives her a psychosis, under whose influence she was driven to remove her own left eye to match her father. She is further trained by Nightwing. After a while and due partly to Nightwing’s influence, she realizes that her father does not have her best interests at heart, and rejects him. She is now a member of the Teen Titans.
Like her father, Rose possesses chemically enhanced strength, speed and stamina, as well as agility and intelligence. She seems to have a limited precognitive ability that allows her to predict her enemy’s moves against her.
The ironic thing about the Ravager is that, in a team traditionally made up of "kid sidekicks", Ravager is the former kid sidekick of the Teen Titans' arch nemesis.
