R.O.D. (often extended to "Read or Die") is an anime OVA series focusing on Yomiko Readman, a superpowered agent of the British national Library who has complete telekinetic control over any object made of paper. The story focuses on her fighting a plot by evil clones of various world geniuses of the past (also superpowered) to take over the world.

It was followed by R.O.D. the TV, a TV-series spinoff set 5 years later, which instead of focusing on Readman, focuses on a trio of sisters with similar paper-mastery powers.
