In the Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future TV series, the Power Suits were the creation of Doctor Stuart Gordon Power in an effort to combat the plans for world domination by Lyman Taggart, later known as Lord Dread. A total of seven suits were produced by Stuart Power.

Unique to the wearer, each suit was imprinted with biometrical identifiers for the wearer, making it impossible for someone else to don the suit and utilize its powers.

Two suits remained unused and in storage in the Power Base until it was destroyed. The remaining suits were rescued by Corporal Chase as Blastarr and a squad of biomechs were bearing down on her position.

Each character had a unique ability with his or her suit:

- Captain Jonathan Power - Standard armor protection, enhanced visor capabilities. Standard blaster sidearm.

- Major Matt "Hawk" Masterson - Flying capabilities. Missile armaments on forearms and wings. Standard blaster sidearm.

- Lieutenant Michael "Tank" Ellis - Heavy armor with heavy capacity cannon.

- Sergeant Robert "Scout" Baker - Espionage capabilities with the ability to transform into a biomech. Standard blaster sidearm.

- Corporal Jennifer "Pilot" Chase - Standard armor protection, throwing stars. Standard blaster sidearm.
