Cassandra first appears in Stargate in Singularity where her planet has been wiped out by Nirrti. She is adopted by Dr. Janet Frasier.
The first Unas appeared in Thor's Hammer. Thought to be a legend, and then theorized to be the last one, this race was the original "host" for Goa'uld.
When Daniel Jackson goes with SG-11 to P3X-888, Unas return. Jackson is trapped by an Unas name Chaka. As the episode progresses, Jackson discovered that the Unas is intelligent and capable of forming friendships. Chaka fights his clan leader to save Jackson. Chaka is played by Dion Johnston.
Chaka appears again In Beast of Burden, also played by Johnston. He has been trapped and taken to another planet. The SG-1 team go to help free him and discover that Unas are used as slaves and killed with no more concern than one might hunt an animal. The Unas who are freed along with Chaka help the SG-1 team get back to the stargate. Chaka, however, stays to help organize resistance and fight for freedom for the Unas slaves.
Chaka's final appearance is in the episode Enemy Mine. Here he is played by Patrick Currie (who later plays as Fifth). When Stargate personnel on P3X-403 are surveying and mining Nahqahda, they discover that the planet is inhabited by Unas. Jackson brings Chaka to help serve as a negotiator.
Charin
Once the oldest and wisest among the Athosians, Charin was blessed with a peaceful death beyond the reach of the Wraith. She was honored in a funeral overseen by Teyla Emmagan.
Member of the original Stargate team later taken as a goa'uld host.
Chaya Sar
Also known as Athar, Chaya is an ascended Ancient charged with he guardianship of the planet proculus
Russian colonel in the Russian Stargate program.
American businessman who allowed himself to be implanted with a Goa'uld to save his life.
Scientist & friend of Jay Felger. He gets dragged along when Felger decides to rescue a captured SG-1. ("The Other Guys)"
The Military leader of the Genii.
Cronus is a Goa'uld System Lord responsible for the Death of Teal'c's father.

Satedan fighter forced to become a runner for the Wraith before joining Shepard's team and making his home on Atlantis.
Wife of Teal'c and mother of Ryac.

Young Wraith female abandoned on a human planet after her vessel crashed and raised by human Zaddik.
Teyla Emmagan (Rachel Luttrell) is the leader of the Athosian people. She joined the Atlantis Expedition believing the city and its inhabitants offered hope of a future without the Wraith.
Dillon Everett
Dillon Everett (Clayton Landey) is an US Air Force office sent by General O'Neill to relieve Dr. Weir and Major Shephard of command in "The Siege Part 2". Everett was confident of their success against the Wraith given the reinforcements brought with him. He was later forced to acknowledge that there was no problem with Atlantis' command or their Athosian allies and the Wraith were far more formidable than he imagined. Everett was a close friend of Colonel Marshall Sumner and held Shephard responsible for his death. After Wraith fed on him and he survived, he acknowledged that Shephard had made the right decision and wished he'd been there for him.
F
Joe Faxon
Joe Faxon (Christopher Cousins) is an American Ambassador who was sent to represent Earth during its negotiations with the Aschen. When the Aschen turned out to be not as generous and selfless as they appeared, he sacrificed himself to allow Samantha Carter to escape. ("2001")
Faxon was previously seen in an alternate timeline in the episode "2010" in which ten years in the future he was married to Carter and an ambassador. He and Carter were trying to have children but were unable to do so because of an Achecn vaccine. Faxon was determined to protect Carter from injury in a plan to send a message back in time to prevent Earth from making an alliance with the Aschen.
Louis Ferretti (French Stewart/Brent Stait) was on the first mission through the Stargate to Abydos. He was later given command of SG-2.
Fifth (Patrick Currie) is a human form replicator created by First in an attempt to correct the flaw in Reese's programming.
Aiden Ford (Rainbow Sun Francks) is a marine who volunteered for the Atlantis expedition. Ford was a member of John Shepards team.
Janet Fraiser (Teryl Rothery) was the SGC's chief medical officer for the series first eight seasons.
Freya (Vanessa Angel) is the host to the goa'uld Anise.
Freyr
Freyr is an Asgard, a member of the Asgard High Council and the protector of the planet K'Tau. Unlike Thor, he does not show any noted preference for Jack O'Neill or the Tau'ri. He first appeared in the episode "Red Sky" in which he permitted O'Neill to address the high council after SG-1's mistake almost made K'Tau uninhabitable. Frey'r refused to intervene on account of the Asgard Protected Planets Treaty made with the Goa'uld. He again refused to intervene, for the same reason, when Earth was threatened by a meteor later discovered to be sent by the Goa'uld. "Fail Safe". In "Revelations", Freyr requested aid from the SGC in helping rescue an Asgard scientist under attack by the Goa'uld. Freyr returned the favor, helping them escape with the aid of Asgard ships.

Grodin was a British engineer and adviser to Dr. Elizabeth Weir on the expedition team to the city of Atlantis.

Jennifer Hailey (Elizabeth Rosen) is a US Air Force Academy Cadet with an attitude problem and an aptitude for theoretical physics.
Halling (Christopher Heyerdahl) Athosian leader and father of Jinto
General George Hammond (Don S. Davis) was the head of Stargate Command for the series' first seven seasons.
Walter Harriman (Gary Jones) is an SGC technician overseeing gate operations
Jonas Hansen
Jonas Hansen was an SGC officer and commander of the SG-9 unit. Hansen allowed the people of a planet his team visited to believe him to be a god and forced them to begin building an empire, beginning with his palace. Hansen was formerly engaged to Samantha Carter who visited the planet with the SG-1 to put an end to his reign of tyranny. He instead used her scientific skills to attempt to reactivate a sun shield generator that would protect the planet from severe solar radiation. His plan failed as he was unaware of a necessary second device. Once aware of his duplicity, the people of the planet executed him by sending him through the stargate to Earth when the Iris was closed. It was the fate he had planned for SG-1. ("The First Commandment")
Hathor was Ra's Queen in Ancient Egypt and the mother of many Goa'uld. Hathor became used her pheromones to seduce men to do her bidding. She was trapped on Earth for milennia but managed to escape after taking over the SGC briefly
Henry Hayes is US President who chose Robert Kinsey as his running mate.
Kate Heightmeyer was the resident psychologist on Atlantis. Heightmeyer was killed by an alien entity who invaded her dreams
Heimdall
Heimdall is an Asgard scientist working to uncover the genetic history of his race in hope of restoring their ability to procreate sexually instead of through cloning. His outpost on Adara II, where ancient Asgard bodies were stored, was destroyed by Osiris but SG-1 helped Heimdall escape with his research intact.
Helia
Helia (Megan Leitch) is an Ancient of Atlantis and captain of the Ancient vessel Tria. After learning that the Lanteans had left Atlantis, Helia set her ship on a course for the Milky Way. Following the failure of the ship's hyperdrive they continued at close to light speed despite the relativistic consequences. The Tria was stopped by the Atlantis expedition and Helia took command of Atlantis and asked the Earth expedition to leave. Helia and her Lantean crew were all killed when the Asurans took over the Atlantis.
Hermiod
Hermiod is an Asgard engineer stationed on the Earth vessel Daedalus. Hermiod supervises the use of Asgard technology, specifically, the Hyperdrive engines and the transporters. Hermiod is typically cranky and sarcastic. Hermiod likely left the Daedalus to face the end of his race with his fellow Asgard.
Heru'ur is a Goa'uld System Lord and the son of Ra and Hathor. Her'ur is an enemy of Apophis and was eventually killed by him.
I
Imhotep was a Goa'uld who took over the body of his own first prime in order to undermine the Jaffa rebellion
Ishkur
5,000 years ago, his Jaffa rebelled and became the Sodan. Ishkur identified the rebels as traitors and ordered their deaths. The Sodan tried to fight against him, but they were outnumbered and went in search of Kheb.
Ishta (Jolene Blalock) was once the high priestess of Moloc before becoming the resistance leader of the Haktyl movement, a group of female Jaffa warriors.
J
Daniel Jackson is a brilliant archaeologist who was called on to aid the Stargate program after his theories of Aliens in ancient Egypt proved accurate.
Jinto
Jinto is an Athosian boy, the son of Halling.
Jolinar is a Tok'ra operative who took control of Samantha Carter. Jolinar gave her life to save Carter who later met Jolinar's mate Martouf.
K
Kali
Kali is a Goa'uld system lord who, in league with Bastet, made a treaty with Sobek. The two later turned against him and killed him during a feast celebration. Kali had an outpost on Cerador that was destroyed by Anubis. She later voted to allow Anubis to return to the ranks of the System Lords
Kanayo
Kanayo is a former Genii spy recruited by Aiden Ford to join his team of Wraith enzyme addicts. Kanayo eventually went into shock and died after being imprisoned on a Wraith vessel without access to more of the drug.
Kasuf is the leader of the people of Abydos and father to Sha're and Skaara
Kavanagh
Kavanagh is an arrogant Earth scientist who traveled to the Pegasus Galaxy with the first Atlantis expedition. Kavanagh came into conflict with Dr. Weir as he expected a civilian commander would give him freer reign than the military.
Kendra
Kendra is a former goa'uld host who first appeared in "Thor's Hammer" as a native of Cimmeria). Kendra guided Carter and Daniel to the underground Caverns in which Teal'c and O'Neill were trapped. She was later killed when Heru'ur invaded the planet.
Khalek is an advanced human created by Anubis. Khalek gained superhuman powers as he moved toward ascension.
Robert Kinsey is a United States Senator who tried on several occasions to shut down Stargate Command.
Klorel is the son of Apophis and the Goa'uld who took over the body of Skaara.
Acastus Kolya is a Genii military commander who became something of an arch nemesis to John Sheppard. Kolya led a team to take over [[Atlantis (Stargate)|Atlantis in "The Storm
Kvasir
Kvasir is an Asgard scientist whose expertise is in time dilation technology. SG-1 requested his help to seal a rift that allowed SG teams from other universes to cross over into a single reality. "Ripple Effect"
Kynthia
Kynthia is a native of the planet Argos. Jack O'Neill became unwittingly married to her when she offered and he accepted a marriage cake. Kynthia transferred nanobots in her system to O'Neill causing him to age at an accelerated pace like other Argosians. "Brief Candle"
L
Laira
Laira is a native of the planet Edora. Laira became interested in [[Jack O'Neill when SG-1 visited the planet looking for naquadah. O'Neill became trapped on the planet for several months and the two grew close. She hoped to get him to forget his former life and focus on the one he had. Jack left her behind when he was rescue and there was a subtle hint that she may have had his child.
General Hank Landry is an American Air Force General granted command of Stargate Command.
Catherine Langford is the daughter of the professor who first uncovered the gate. Langford recruited Daniel Jackson to help translate the gate's symbols.
Lucisu Lavin' is a Pegasus Galaxy inhabitant who used his discoveries to con villages into elevating him to ruler and hero.
Linea also known as the Destroyer of Worlds is an unethical scientist whose experiments have killed thousands. She was sent to Hadante for her crimes and freed by SG-1 during their escape.
Martin Lloyd is a human from another planet that was wiped out by the Goa'uld. lloyd gained a new life on Earth after his fellow refugees drugged him, making him forget about his life as a soldier on another world.
Loki
Loki is an Asgard scientist responsible for abducting several humans from Earth hoping to learn more about the Asgard genetic history. Loki abducted and cloned Jack O'Neill resulting in two copies. Loki was apprehended by SG-1 and handed over to Thor for punishment by the Asgard.
Major in the U.S. Air Force, Lorne transferred to the Atlantis expedition
Lya is Nox woman who served as archon in a Tollan triad to determine the rightful owner of Skaara's body.
M
Vala Mal Doran
Vala Mal Doran is a former thief and smuggler who later joined the SGC and was assigned to SG-1. Vala first appeared in the series' eight season.
Martouf
Martouf is a Tok'ra agent and the mate of Jolinar of Malkshur. He developed a friendship with Jolinar's last host, Samantha Carter. The two lived together in an alternate reality.
Harold Maybourne
Harry Maybourne is a former Air Force colonel convicted of Treason for stealing from Earth allies. Maybourne later escaped and became both a reluctant friend and constant pain for Jack O'Neill.
Meredith Rodney McKay is a brilliant scientist who butted heads with Samantha Carter at the sGC before joining the Atlantis expedition as their expert in Ancient technologies.
Melia
Melia was an Ancient and member of the Lantean council before the evacuation to Earth. She left behind a hologram to inform anyone who returned to the city of what happened.
Jeannie Miller
Jeannie Miller is a brilliant mathematician and the sister of Rodney McKay. The two were estranged for years after she disappointed him by choosing family life over a career in science.
Cameron Mitchell
Cameron Mitchell is an Air Force pilot who was assigned to the SGC after his heroic part in the defeat of Anubis over Antarctica . Mitchell reunited SG-1, determined to serve on the legendary team.
Morgan le Fay
Morgan le Fey' is an ascended Ancient who was assigned to watch over Merlin and stop him from too much interference. She later preserved his work and aided SG-1 in their mission to stop the Ori.

Nafrayu
Nafrayu was a young Nox boy who took an interest in SG-1 when they visited his homeworld.
Narim is a Tollan man rescued by SG-1 from his homeworld. Narim expressed an interest in Samantha Carter.
Niam was an Asuran who sought the help of the Atlantis team in rewriting the replicator base code.
Nirrti was a Goa'uld system lord whose interests lay in creating advanced humans with unusual abilities for the purposes of finding a more powerful host.
Lindsay Novak
Lindsay Novak is a Tau'ri scientist who has worked on Daedalus and Atlantis. She is known primarily for her awkward tendency to hiccup when nervous.
O
Oberoth
Oberoth was the leader of the Asurans first seen in the episode "Progeny"
The first ascended Ancient seen in the series, Oma Desala commanded powers of nature. She is an outcast among her kind as she helps humans ascend.
Charlie O'Neill
Charlie is the son of Jack O'Neill. Charlie was still a young child when he accidentally killed himself with his father's handgun. The incident proved devastating for his father and was one of the reason he took on the mission to Abydos, expecting it would be a suicide mission.
Once Leader of SG-1, O'Neill led the first team through the Stargate to Abydos.
Sara O'Neill
Former Wife of Jack O'Neill, she divorced him following the death of their son, Charlie. Sara appeared in "Cold Lazarus" played by Harley Jane Kozak.
Orlin is an ascended ancient who was exiled for interfering with natural human development. Orlin fell in love with Samantha Carter and gave up his ascension but later returned to the ascended plain only to return and give up much of what he was to save Earth from a deadly Ori virus.
Osiris was a Goa'uld once a ruler of Egypt along with his queen Isis. Trapped by Seth for several thousand years, he was released by Sarah Gardner and took over her body.
Osric
Osric is a human and the keeper of his village archives on his home planet. Adria impersonated Osric in order to join SG-1 on their quest for the Sangraal.

Ra was a Goa'uld who ruled ancient Egypt. Ra's queen Hathor spawned the System Lord Heru'ur.
Ladon Radim is a Genii soldier who worked under Acastus Kolya and Cowen before overthrowing Cowen and taking over Genii leadership.
Colonel William Ronson was a US Air Force officer who commanded the Earth-ship Prometheus.
Robert Rothman is an archaeologist who worked at the SGC under Daniel Jackson. Rothman was temporarily assigned to SG-1 when Daniel left the SGC.

Chaya Sar
Also see Athar. Chaya Sar is an Ascended ancient exiled to Proculus for her interference protecting the planet against the Wraith. Chaya posed as the high priestess of the goddess Athar, worshiped by the planets inhabitants.
A detective who became engaged to Samantha Carter.
Sha're is the wife of Daniel Jackson. Sha're was taken as the host to the goa'uld, Ammonet.
John Sheppard is an Air Force officer with an affinity for Ancient technology. Sheppard later became the chief military officer on Atlantis.
Siler is an oft-injured engineer working at the SGC.
Skaara is the brother of Sha're and a close friend of Jack O'Neill. Skaara was kidnapped from his homeworld Abydos and taken to be the host of the Goa'uld Klorel.
Sokar was an outcast Goa'uld system lord who impersonated Satan.
Sora is a Genii woman who vowed vengeance against Teyla Emmagan for her part in her father's death.
Colonel Marshall Sumner was the first Military leader assigned to Atlantis. He was killed by a Wraith during the team's first off-world mission and replaced as military leader by john Sheppard.

Tealc is the former First Prime of Apophis who betrayed Apophis and joined the Tau'ri fight against the Goa'uld. Teal'c is a member of SG-1.
Teer
Telchak
Telchak is a Goa'uld who discovered an Ancient healing cube and used it to create the firs Sarcophagus. Telchak is possibly Chak, the Mayan god of rain. Telchak fought a war against Anubis for the original healing cube. Telchak lost but the device wasn't found until it was discovered by Daniel Jackson in Honduras.
Thor is an Asgard who became a close ally of Earth and SG-1. Thor negotiated with the Goa'uld for Earth's inclusion in the Protected planets treaty.
Tomin was once a lame native of Ver Isca. Vala Mal Doran convinced Tomin to marry her, after discovering she was carrying a child of unknown origin.

Valencia
Volnek was a Sodan warrior who trained Lt. Cameron Mitchell in Sodan fighting techniques. In response to the Sodan refusal to worship the Ori, Volnek was transformed into an enraged zombie who murdered his own people.
W
Simon Wallis
Simon Wallis was a civilian doctor in a relationship with Dr. Elizabeth Weir. Their relationship ended when Elizabeth left for Atlantis and became stranded there for a year.
Elizabeth Weir was the first civilian commander of the SGC. She later moved on to the Atlantus Outpost and later became the leader of the Atlantis expediton
Richard Woolsey was an NID agent before moving on to the International Oversight Advisory.
Y
Lord Yu was a goa'uld System Lord and one of the few to oppose Anubis' return to the ranks of System Lords. One of the oldest of the Goa'uld, Yu became forgetful and confused in his last years.
Z
Zaddik
Zaddik is a man who raised the Wraith child Ellia as his own daughter, allowing her to feed on him when she could no longer sustain herself through food, thereby aging him dramatically. ("Instinct")
