Premise

In the quiet beach town of Point Pleasant, NJ, a young girl, Christina Nickson, washes ashore, ushering in a series of supernatural events and strange changes in the behavior of the town's residents. Christina never knew her mother and is estranged from her father. Jesse Parker, the lifeguard who rescued her, brings her to Dr. Ben Kramer, who takes her into his home. His family has suffered tragedy, having lost their daughter, and Dr. Kramer's wife, Meg, is still having a hard time dealing with it. The Kramers' daughter, Judy, immediately likes Christina and the two become close friends.

When Christina discovers clues to her mother's identity in Point Pleasant, she decides to stay, but strange incidents follow her everywhere. Bad things happen when Christina gets upset. Unknown to her is the fact that she is the devil's daughter, and Point Pleasant is the staging ground for a battle between good and evil, with Christina at its center. She must decide, while wading through teen romance and angst, which side she will choose.
