Planet of the Apes is a classic sci-fi film based on the Pierre Boulle novel of the same name. The movie stars Charlton Heston as an astronaut who becomes stranded on a planet where intelligent apes rule and humans are considered beasts.
The movie had four direct sequels, a live action and an animated TV series, and a remake.
