Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is the third film in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series following the first, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl and the second Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. At World's End completes the plot of the second film. Gore Verbinski returns as director as does Ted Elliot and Terry Rossio the films' writers. All three films were produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. Also reprising their roles, are Keira Knightley, Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Bill Nighy and Geoffrey Rush. Chow Yun-Fat appears in the series for the first time as Captain Sao Feng. The film opened in theaters on May 25, 2007 to poor reviews from critics who generally found the plot to be incoherent and convoluted. Despite poor reviews, the film earned over $44 million in its opening weekend in the US but saw an over 60% drop the following week.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
