The phase shift device is a fictional piece of technology in the Stargate universe.

Seen in many encounters with the Tollan, the phase shift device can make solid objects slip right through other solid matter unharmed. The goa'uld, Tanith, tried to use this technology to destroy Earth in one episode by trying to a bomb to the device which would penetrate SGC's iris.
