Peter McCauley is an actor who has worked in Great Britain and New Zealand. He is best known in the role of Professor George Challenger on the series Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's The Lost World. McCauley has appeared on the British stage and made appearances on several genre films and television series. Early work includes appearances in New Zealand TV Series Heroes and film Kingpin. He made his genre debut guest starring on an episode of The Ray Bradbuy Theater. Other genre appearances include Xena: Warrior Princes, the TV movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Roar, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, the 2005 TV movie Hercules and Perfect Creature
