Paul W. S. Anderson (b. March 4, 1965 Newcastle-upon-Tyne, England) is an British director, screenwriter, and producer well known for his genre work particular on the Resident Evil film series and the crossover film he wrote and directed, Alien vs. Predator. Anderson came to fame in England for his work on the extremely violent Shopping, starring Jude Law. His work on that film led to his work directing the film version of the video game Mortal Kombat. His other credits include Death Race, Castlevania, Necropolis, The Sight, Event Horizon, Soldier, The Dark, Resident Evil: Extinction and Resident Evil: Apocalypse.
