British character actor Paul McGann (November 14, 1959–) is perhaps best known to sci-fi fans as the eighth actor to play The Doctor, the title character in the BBC's long-running Doctor Who TV series. Although he appeared only once in the role on screen (in the 1996 made-for-TV movie), McGann has continued to play The Doctor in a series of audio adventures produced by Big Finish Productions.
In his career, McGann has acquired an impressive resume of character roles. Film credits include roles as Lt. Price in Empire of the Sun; Golic in Alien3; Girard/Jussac in Disney's 1993 version of The Three Musketeers; and David Talbot in Queen of the Damned, among many others.
McGann's television credits include a recurring role as Lieutenant Bush in the Horatio Hornblower series.

It's usually best to give a very general overview first, then specific details. When including the plot or essential details of a story in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
