Paul Emerson is a fictional character on the series Stargate SG-1 portrayed by Matthew Glave. Emerson is the first commander of the Earth vessel Odyssey.

During his command he rescued SG-1 several times and rescued officers of the Prometheus following its destruction. He also commanded the vessel in the battle against the Ori in the episode "Camelot". The ship was one of the few surviving vessels. Odyssey fell victim to a Lucian Alliance plot and Emerson was executed by alliance second in command, Anateo.
