Paul Blaisdell (July 21, 1929, Rhode Island – July 10, 1983 California) Low budget monster-maker who made memorable contributions to a number of movies in the mid-to-late 1950s. He appeared inside his cheaply-created monster suits or created inventive special effects on a shoestring for such cult favourites as It Conquered the World (1956), The She-Creature (1956), Voodoo Woman (1956), Invasion of the Saucermen (1957), Cat Girl (1957), Not of This Earth (1957), Attack of the Puppet People (1958), How to Make a Monster (1958), It! The Terror from Beyond Space (1958), Invisible Invaders (1959) and The Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow (1959). After Blaisdell publicly badmouthed Famous Monsters of Filmland, publisher James Warren blacklisted his name from the magazine. The effects designer retaliated by creating his own magazine with Bob Burns, but Fantastic Monsters of the Films ran for only seven issues in the early 1960s. He died in obscurity at the age of 53 after a long illness.

It's usually best to give a very general overview to a story first, then plot details. When including the plot or essential details in your article (which could ruin the pleasure of discovery for some readers), it is important to include the spoiler tag before any give-away material.
