Orlando Bloom <span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>  Orlando Bloom (b. January 13, 1977) is a popular English actor born in Canterbury, Kent. He is best known to genre fans as Legolas Greenleaf from the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. He is also well known in the role of Will Turner in the Pirates of the Caribbean films. In the first "Pirates" film, he is a poor but honest blacksmith assistant who finds himself drawn into the world of pirates to rescue his lass, Elizabeth. In the second, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" (2006), he helps the pirates secure their ship. And in the third, "Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World's End," he finally gives his heart to Elizabeth, in a very literal way. Bloom has said that he is not interested in being in another Pirates sequel, but the producers say the door is still open...
