Odin

<span class="SFPTagline"> From SCIFIPEDIA </span>

Odin is the chief god of Norse mythology. He is not the creator of the world, but is the ruler of the Earth and Valhalla (heavens).

Odin lives in Asgard and to keep apprised of the news of the world and the matters of humans, he sends out two crows, Hugin (thought) and Munin (memory), to observe the world and report back to him each night.

Odin rules Valhalla from a grand court with his queen, Frigga. There, all warriors serve under him in the overworld after they die.

Odin, was known as "Woden" among the Saxons and as "Wotan" among the Germanic people. The middle day of the week was called Woden's Day, from which the modern words, Wednesday arose.
