Noe Torres, a
UFO researcher and author from South Texas, holds a Master's degree in Library Science from the University of Texas at Austin. With California UFO researcher
Ruben Uriarte, Torres has written two books about major UFO events that happened along the U.S.-Mexico border.
In 2007 Torres and Uriarte published Mexico's Roswell: The Chihuahua UFO Crash- ISBN 9781602640139, which tells the story of an August 1974 UFO crash retrieval along the Texas-Mexico border, near Coyame, Mexico, in the Chihuahuan Desert. Mexico's Roswell received excellent reviews and has been featured on the History Channel's UFO Hunters series, George Noory's Coast to Coast AM, the July 2007 issue of UFO Magazine, the Jerry Pippin Show, Paranormal Radio, and numerous other media outlets in the U.S. and Mexico. Torres and Uriarte lectured about their book at the 2007 UFO Crash Retrieval Conference in Las Vegas, the 2007 Bay Area UFO Expo, the 2007 Roswell UFO Museum Conference, and at many other venues.
In April 2008, the authors released a second edition of Mexico's Roswell featuring new information, revisions, and data gathered during an investigation funded by the History Channel. The second edition has been published under the authors' own imprint, RoswellBooks.com.
Torres and Uriarte have also written a second UFO book, titled The Other Roswell: UFO Crash on the Texas-Mexico Border, which they published in April 2008 under the RoswellBooks.com imprint. It focuses on a 1950s era UFO crash retrieval near Del Rio, Texas. In the book, a retired Air Force pilot tells the amazing tale of a highly luminous UFO that he chased across the skies of Texas before watching it crash near the Rio Grande River. Veteran UFO Researcher Bruce Maccabee wrote the foreword for the book, in which he stated, "Authors Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte have presented [this] story in a very engaging manner with plenty of supporting information. I believe that the reader will find this book important support for the idea that Alien Flying Craft have crashed on earth and have been retrieved and covered up by the United States Government."
In addition to the UFO books, Torres has also written two books about baseball history, Ghost Leagues and Baseball's First Mexican-American Star.
