Nikolaj Coster-Waldau

Nikolaj Coster Waldau (b. July 27, 1970, Denmark) is a Danish actor. Waldau made his English-language film debut in the WWII drama Bent in 1997 alongside Clive Owen. He'd previously appeared in Danish-language films and throughout his career has alternated between English and Danish roles. Among Waldau's most notable English-language work are the films Black Hawk Down, Wilmbledon, Kingdom of Heaven and Firewall.

Waldau made his American television debut as the star of the Fox series New Amsterdam. Waldau played a 21st century New York detective who has been alive since the 17th century. The series was canceled after completing it's initial eight-episode order and Waldau was shortly casst in Ronald D. Moore's latest scifi venture Virtuality in which he will play Frank Pike commander of the starship the Phaeton.
