Synopsis
Hundreds of years ago, a battle was fought between the forces of dark and light on a bridge. With forces equally matched the leaders of each army sought to avoid mutual annihilation by agreeing to a truce. Both groups lived side by side over the next few centuries. The forces of light watch the vampires of the dark side at night while the dark side has the Day Watch. Among the unwitting neutral humans are those with supernatural powers such as witches and sorcerers who are free to join either side. Legend tells of "The Great Other" which will upset the balance between dark and light. The side the "Other" chooses will be the one to win.
Anton Gorodetsky (Konstantin Khabensky) joined the forces of light in 1992 but hired a witch to commit an act of black magic against his girlfriend. He must face the consequences of that decision when his past comes back to alter his present.
